Fifteen Super Late Models were on hand for the event, and via preliminary action Brandon started seventh in the main event. Hightower was battling amongst the top ten when a car spun in front of him, leaving him with nowhere to go. He was able to continue but would have to restart at the tail of the field. Despite passing being difficult, Brandon recovered a solid eighth place finish.

A strong field of twenty-one Limited Modifieds registered for battle, and Brandon would roll off eleventh on the feature grid. During the course of the main event he advanced to a ninth place finish in the final rundown.

Brandon starting his outing by charging to a convincing heat race victory, which earned him the third starting spot on the feature grid. During the course of the main event, Hightower fought an ill-handling race car and would ultimately bring his Mahfouz Motorsports #B52 Express Limited Modified home in fourth behind race winner, Stephen Guidry, Joel Couvillion, and Bob Kellogg.
