August 25, 2020 - Hightower heads north to compete in Modified

Making the 20-hour trek north, Brandon Hightower traveled to Delaware International Speedway (Delmar, Del.) on Saturday afternoon to pilot his Bruckner Truck Sales No. B52 Modified entry. After an unfavorable forecast forced Hightower to pack up and head to Bridgeport Speedway (Bridgeport, N.J.), Brandon marched forward five spots in his heat to finish fifth. With lingering overheating issues resurfacing in the feature, Hightower was an early retiree from the 30-lapper. Returning to action on Tuesday at Georgetown Speedway (Georgetown, Del.), Brandon was one of 33 Short Track Super Series entries on hand for the annual Blast at the Beach. After failing to make it out for his hot lap session, Hightower was an early retiree from his heat race on the third lap. Scratching from his consolation event, Brandon earned a provisional into the $6,000-to-win A-Main. He was one of four cars that failed to complete all 35 laps.
